Looking to bet on Monday Night Football? We’ve got The Winner! Click Here!!!

Week 5 was one in which the pre-season Studs came out and were defiantly accounted for. Some of the mentioned should be here every week and are not – others are simply here every week.

It was a week of blowouts, so RB numbers were weak and backups saw some playing time. Wide receivers, had huge weeks – a disproportionate number had 2 TD weeks which makes you a Stud – no questions asked!!!

Apologies to Matt Ryan, Ben Roethlisberger, Kurt Warner, Matt Schuab, Kyle Orton, Ahmad Bradshaw, Austin Collie, Anquan Boldin and Brandon Marshall for not making it on this weeks list – you all still had Stud Performances.

Stud of the Week

Miles Austin – Dallas – Didn’t see this one coming – in fact I picked up Patrick Crayton for a bye-week fill in. That’s why I need my own personal rewind button!!! Austin caught 10 of Tony Romo’s 20 completions for, Get This, 250 yards and 2 tds.! Romo was looking Austin’s way all day and he is almost solely responsible for winning a game that the Cowboys shouldn’t have won. – A Stud indeed.

Dud of the Week

DeSean Jackson – Philadelphia – Donovan McNabb returns and the Eagles won 33-14 – Jackson must have been huge right???? Wrong!!! 1 catch for 1 yard for a consensus top 10 Wideout!!! Don’t know what to say except – hope it was a blip!! Or a horrible dream!!!

More Studs

Peyton Manning – Indianapolis – The way that he manages the game – he just belongs here. Could you imagine what type of Stud he’s be if he was “Tom Brady” goodlookin?

Donovan McNabb – Philadelphia – Welcome back Don – glad to have you back. 364 yards and 2 tds. in Week 5 and he didn’t even play the whole game!!!! Oh ya – he added 30 yards on 2 rushes too! The complete package and a true Stud!!

Tony Romo – Dallas – It was looking pretty bleak in the 1st half, but Romo stepped up and demonstrated the leadership needed for a winning team. Forget the quality of women that Romo dates, its the351 yards and 2 tds. (one in OT to win the game) that makes Romo a Stud!!

Matt Hasselbeck – Seattle – 18-30 for 241 yards and 4 tds!! Exactly what the Seahawks needed, huh? Total domination by steady Matt and his whole offensive Unit – they seemed to be able to do whatever the hell they wanted. To come off a fractured rib and shred a defense with obvious momentum – you’d have to be a Stud – don’t you think?

Michael Turner – Atlanta – Wow, the Falcons were running on ALL cylinders in Week 5, torching a stout San Francisco Defense for 45 points. Turner racked up 97 yards and 3 tds. in a dominating effort on the road. Yes folks – Mike is a Stud!!!

Cedric Benson – Cincinnati – I knew the Bengals would beat the Ravens. I also knew that Benson would be the 1st back to rush for over 100 against the Ravens in centuries!!! Do you believe me?? Didn’t think so.

Adrian Peterson – Minnesota – On the list this week because he hasn’t been here since Week 1. The 2 tds. on just 15 touches doesn’t hurt either. The Vikings are rolling right now, and Every player is contributing. Peterson WILL be a fixture on the list – he just needs more than 15 touches per week!!

Ray Rice – Baltimore – 143 combined yards and a td. made Willis McGahee irrelevant in Week 5. Rice seems to be winning the starting job away from and extremely effective Willis McGahee. Although his team lost, Rice is a Stud.

Roddy White – Atlanta – Runner up for Stud of the Week, Roddy finally rewarded Fantasy owners with a MONSTER game. 8 catches, 210 yards and 2 tds. is just insane. If he was a woman…… – well….. you know!!!!!!!

Jeremy Maclin – Philadelphia – Ridiculous game in Week 5 with 6 catches for 142 yards and 2 tds. This was defiantly the rookie’s coming out party, making him the most grabbed player off of Waiver Wires this week.

Larry Fitzgerald – Arizona – A 5 catch, 72 yard, 2 td. game has Larry Fitzgerald a Stud again. Hell, he should be here every week, and something tells me that he will!!!

Seattle WR’s – Nate Burleson had 6 catches, 98 yards and 2tds. while TJ Houshmanzedeh had 5 grabs for 77 yards and 2 tds. A 2 headed Stud Monster that made the Jaguars defense look like a high school team. Absolute Studs thanks to their Stud QB.

Kellen Winslow – Tampa Bay – 9 catches, 102 yards and 2 tds. I don’t know if we will see him here again, but Josh Johnson finally realized where his meal ticket is. Winslow made Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn look somewhat OK – if that’s not a Stud, I don’t know what is!

More Duds

Derek Anderson – Cleveland – WOW!!!!! 2 completion in 17 attempts??? Pee-Wee football numbers. Eric Mangini must REALLY hate Brady Quinn to not bring him into the game. 23 yards and 1 interception is simply unacceptable – Dud!

Jamarcus Russell – Oakland – Told you he’d be on this list every week. He’s really earning it. 8-13 for 100 yards when you were trailing the whole game? Maybe its not all your fault – the coaches have some blame to share too!

Trent Edwards – Buffalo – Hope you have some security escorting you to your Hyundai Pony Trent – your gonna need it. 16-31 for 152 yards and 1 interception against the Browns – at home is plain embarrassing. Time to go in a different direction Bills – it clearly aint working.

Willis McGahee – Baltimore – The #5 Fantasy Running Back entered Week 5 on quite a role. Although the huge yardage #s haven’t been there, the tds. certainly have!! A Week 5 output of minus 2 yards will defiantly vault McGahee down towards the middle of the RB pack. Ray Rice got it done, Willis didn’t – Dud.

Brian Westbrook – Philadelphia – Although Westbrook managed to score in Week 5, his 35 combined yards effort is Dudworthy. Those of you who were counting on a Huge comeback after injury were hung out to dry in one of the juiciest matchups that the Eagles will see all year.

Larry Johnson – Kansas City – Paging Jamal Charles!! Larry Johnson simply is not the answer in Kansas City. 21 rushes for 37 yards is proof that his best days are long gone and that he is King Dud!!

Maurice Jones-Drew – Jacksonville – 67 combined yards against a very beatable Seattle Defense. The offense was totally out of sync today and Jones-Drew was totally unable to get going. Dud Dud Dud!!!

Mike Sims-Walker – Jacksonville – Should probably be Dud of the Week, but because he didn’t play, it would be hard to justify. Sims-Walker was deactivated by his team for breaking team rules – a Dud move for a Dud!

Calvin Johnson – Detroit – Left early in the game, but once people heard that he was active, there was no way that he could be benched. How did he reward his owners??? 1 catch for 2 yards!! Ugh!

Randy Moss – New England – Fantasy Football is a cruel pass-time! Case in point – Randy Moss’ 1 catch 36 yard effort in Week 3. To expect more is only human. To not deliver is simply uncivilized.

Terrell Owens -Buffalo – 4 catches for 44 yards???? A Dud on a Dud team – not much else to say.

Top Performers Week 3

Quarterbacks

M.
