NFL Point Spreads: McNabb, Westbrook Return to Face Bucs<\/h2>\n

The last time these teams met was in 2006, when the Bucs needed the fourth longest field-goal in NFL history to edge the Eagles. Tampa Bay will need all sorts of miracles on Sunday when they face the Eagles again as McNabb and Westbrook return from injury.<\/p>\n

The Eagles have gone 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games and are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 at home. \"\"<\/a>They\u2019ve held the UNDER in 7-of-10 when playing Tampa Bay as well, but a looming double-digit spread makes me a bit nervous. The Eagles defense surely misses Brian Dawkins, and their 24.0 points against per game is proof of it. They allow just 156.0 yards passing, and 106.0 yards rushing but have managed wins over winless Carolina and winless KC. Yes I know that Tampa is winless too, but this is the biggest spread the Eagles have faced in five games.<\/p>\n

Two weeks of rest should do the Eagles good, but a narrow loss to the Redskins proves that the Bucs are victims of a brutal schedule. They\u2019ve had to play in Washington and Buffalo, while facing Dallas and the Giants as well. They\u2019ve allowed 26.8 points per game, and have managed just 13.5 points per game.<\/p>\n

That being said, Tampa has always shown up for games against Philly. Always. The largest spread that these opponents have shared is -7.5, dating back to 1995. Tampa is 5-4 ATS in their last 9 games against Philly and have 3-2 ATS in their last 5 meetings. Most of the times, I would give Philly the benefit of the doubt but that\u2019s a huge spread and I like Tampa\u2019s chances of covering in this one despite questions on offense and defense.<\/p>\n
