Let\u2019s take a look at the Week 6 rankings.<\/strong><\/p>\n Looking for Week 5? Click Here ><\/strong><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Florida – –<\/strong> The Gators had a bye week and no doubt will be heavily favored to beat LSU this Saturday, but their chances of actually beating the Tigers on the road will be determined by the health of starting quarterback Tim Tebow. Florida needs Tebow in order to beat LSU. Plain and simple.<\/p>\n Texas – – <\/strong>The Longhorns had a bye week. They watched as rival Oklahoma lost by a single point to the Miami Hurricanes.<\/p>\n Alabama- – <\/strong>The Crimson Tide covered the spread as -16 favorites on the road against a Kentucky team that showed more life than it had all season. Alabama is here to stay and no doubt could prove to be the team that takes down the Gators.<\/p>\n LSU – – <\/strong>It was touch and go for a while but LSU, a 3 \u00bd point underdog on the road against Georgia this past Saturday, finally secured a victory in the final two minutes of the game to set up a stirring contest against #1 Florida next Saturday.<\/p>\n Boise State – – <\/strong>They were playing UC-Davis. If I wasn\u2019t so impressed with them, I\u2019d have moved them down some, but the victory over Oregon looks better and better by the week. Then again\u2026they were playing UC-Davis.<\/p>\n Virginia Tech – – <\/strong>Their victory over Duke wasn\u2019t nearly as good as the college football betting line<\/strong><\/a>, 34 to 26 as -17 favorites in the BetUS online sportsbook, would have led football gamblers to believe, but they won, and winning, at the end is everything in this game.<\/p>\n TCU- – <\/strong>The Horned Frogs couldn\u2019t cover a -28 point spread over the SMU Mustangs on Saturday but the 39 to 14 victory is enough to keep them in the Top 10 for now.<\/p>\n Ohio State – – <\/strong>The 33 to 14 victory was nice, and a cover by a single point as they were 18 point underdogs, but moving them up is tough as the 7 teams ahead of them have been just as good, and sometimes better, than they have been.<\/p>\n Cincinnati – – <\/strong>A 29 \u00bd point spread is always tough to cover, but Cincy was playing Miami of Ohio. They won 37 to 13, but really, they should have done much better.<\/p>\n Iowa – – <\/strong>Man, that was ugly! It looked like it was going to be a cake walk at first, but then Arkansas State, 21 point underdogs, got it going in the second half and the Hawkeyes had fight tooth and nail to hang on for a 24 to 21 victory. I still believe that they are the best team in the Big Ten, but they will have to keep winning to overtake the Buckeyes in the my power rankings.<\/p>\n USC – – <\/strong>USC\u2019s absolute destruction of the California Golden Bears was mighty impressive. The Trojans are still the class of the Pac 10. As 4 \u00bd point favorites, they absolutely thumped the Bears 30 to 3, unfortunately for them, the loss to Washington is hurting them more and more as the Huskies for some reason haven\u2019t been able to win since beating USC.<\/p>\n Miami – – <\/strong>Nice way to bounce back against another ranked opponent, Hurricanes. 21 to 20 isn\u2019t spectacular but it\u2019s impressive because they did it as 7 \u00bd point underdogs.<\/p>\n Kansas – – <\/strong>Even though they were on a bye week, the Jayhawks move up because some other teams ahead of them didn\u2019t do so well. Kansas will be looking to fill Oklahoma\u2019s shoes after the Sooners\u2019 lost their second game of 2009.<\/p>\n Auburn – – <\/strong>The Tigers of Auburn were receiving 2 \u00bd point from Tennessee in their game in Knoxville on Saturday. Auburn showed that they indeed are back and could be a force to be reckoned with in the SEC by beating Tennessee 26 to 22. South Florida – – <\/strong>They were only favored by 7 \u00bd points over Syracuse and covered it easily with a 34 to 20 victory, but they really jumped up the rankings because of the victory over Florida State last week. They\u2019re also 3 and 1 ATS in 2009. That makes them a nice team to bet most weeks.<\/p>\n Nebraska – – <\/strong>The Cornhuskers had a bye this past week, but take center stage this Thursday when they take on the Missouri Tigers. Nebraska is definitely a team to watch as they were a single play away from taking down Virginia Tech in Blacksburg.<\/p>\n BYU – – <\/strong>They did a job on Utah State, 35 to 17, but failed to cover again. The shine is off their victory over the Sooners as Oklahoma lost their second game of the year against the Miami Hurricane.<\/p>\n Penn State – – <\/strong>A return to glory? Not really, but it was nice to see Jo Pa\u2019s group bounce back from the Iowa loss with a spirited 35 to 17 victory over Illinois on the road. They covered a 7 \u00bd spread as well which has been rare this year for them.<\/p>\n South Carolina – – <\/strong>There was no line in the South Carolina vs. South Carolina State game. The Gamecocks did what they had to by whipping SC State 38 to 14.<\/p>\n Missouri – – <\/strong>The Tigers had a bye this week, but like Nebraska, they are a team to watch. They haven\u2019t been as impressive as the Cornhuskers but a 4 and 0 record straight up to start the season can\u2019t be ignored.<\/p>\n Georgia Tech – – <\/strong>Tech is back on track after beating Mississippi State on the road and against the spread. The 42 to 31 victory was better than nice.<\/p>\n Mississippi – – <\/strong>Ole Miss bounced back from their loss to South Carolina two weeks ago by stopping Vanderbilt 23 to 7 and covering a 10 point NCAA football betting spread by 6 points.<\/p>\n Oklahoma- – <\/strong>The 1 point loss to the Miami Hurricanes, 21 to 20 as 7 \u00bd point favorites on the road, drops them because it was their second loss to a ranked opponent this year. Oklahoma just isn\u2019t as good in 2009 as they were in 2008.<\/p>\n Oklahoma State – – <\/strong>The Cowboys had the week off after trouncing Grambling 56 to 6. They have a chance to get themselves back into the Big 12 Championship discussion should they win their next four games. Texas looms as a big threat on Oct. 31st.<\/p>\n Oregon – – <\/strong>They beat a ranked Utah team and a ranked California team. Then, this past Saturday, they cover a 35 point spread against Washington State by winning 52 to 6. Boise State, the team that beat them, is awesome.
