The Jets take their dominating defense to New Orleans to play the high flying Saints, Baltimore will try and prove they are the best team in the AFC when they take on the Patriots in Foxboro, and on Monday night, Brett Favre gets a shot at his old team when the Vikings host the Packers.

Here is a brief look at all the match ups with some keys to the game.

LOOKING FOR THE BEST NFL CAPPERS ON THE PLANET FOR YOUR WEEK 4 GAMBLING PICKS??? —>

Week 4 – Sunday, Oct. 4

(Byes: Arizona, Atlanta, Carolina, Philadelphia)

Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears, 1 p.m.

The Lions will try and make it two wins in a row, but as long as Bear’s QB Jay Cutler manages the game and avoids any turnovers, Chicago will be tough to beat at home.

Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns, 1 p.m.

Derek Anderson gets the start at QB for the Browns, but do not expect any miracles as Cleveland’s offensive scheme is a recipe for failure.

Oakland Raiders at Houston Texans, 1 p.m.

The Raiders’ defense will have to find a way to create pressure on Texan QB Matt Schaub who has thrown for 657 yards and 7 TD’s in his last two games.

Seattle Seahawks at Indianapolis Colts, 1 p.m.

Seattle will once again be without some key starters including QB Matt Hasselbeck and LT Walter Jones. For the Colts, Peyton Manning to Reggie Wayne has been a dangerous combination.

Tennessee Titans at Jacksonville Jaguars, 1 p.m.

The Titans are still looking for their first win and a loss this Sunday could put them 4 back of the Colts. Tennessee QB Kerry Collins has to play better to get a win against the Jags.

New York Giants at Kansas City Chiefs, 1 p.m.

After getting blown out in Philly, the last thing the Chiefs needed were the Giants coming to town. New York’s defense has been stifling so far and this week should be no different.

Baltimore Ravens at New England Patriots, 1 p.m.

The Ravens’ defense should be able to put pressure on Tom Brady, but the big question will be can the Patriots’ defense slow down Baltimore QB Joe Flacco who has played lights out so far.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Washington Redskins, 1 p.m.

Tampa starts Josh Johnson at QB to try and give this offense a spark, while Washington must find a way to put last week’s loss to Detroit behind them.

Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins, 4:05 p.m.

Both these teams are trying to find better consistency on offense. The loss of QB Chad Pennington for the season will certainly not help Miami’s cause. Look for Bills WR Terrell Owens to finally have a big game.

New York Jets at New Orleans Saints, 4:05 p.m.

This game will come down to the Jets defense’s ability to disrupt Saint’s QB Drew Brees. If Brees can handle New York’s elaborate blitz scheme, he will beat them with some big plays.

Dallas Cowboys at Denver Broncos, 4:15 p.m.

This will be the first real test for the Broncos after wins over the Bengals, Browns, and Raiders. The Cowboys’ defense should be able to provide a big dose of reality to Denver this week.

St. Louis Rams at San Francisco 49ers, 4:15 p.m.

The 49ers will miss RB Frank Gore in the backfield, but their defense should be able to shut down a Rams’ offense that is ranked 28th in total yards and dead last in points scored.

San Diego Chargers at Pittsburgh Steelers, 8:20 p.m.

The Steelers need to eliminate the mistakes and turnovers that have been killing them to avoid a third straight loss. The Chargers hope to have RB Ladainian Tomlinson back for this one.

Monday, Oct. 5

Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings, 8:30 p.m.

While all the focus has been on Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers, this game could come down to the Vikings offensive line’s ability to open holes for RB Adrian Peterson.

From a betting perspective, lean towards teams that have a better record in big games. My top picks for this week’s match ups would be New England and Pittsburgh.

BET PHOENIX FREE PLAY BONUS PROMO! 100% Free play on any deposit of $100 and applies up to $200.
