Both the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys cruised to victories during Week 1 of the regular season, but if you\u2019re planning on doing any NFL betting on them this week you\u2019re going to have to make a choice \u2013 who will come out on top Monday night? <\/p>\n
The Eagles trounced the St. Louis Rams in their first game of the regular season, going up 21-0 by halftime en route to a 38-3 victory. Philly QB Donovan McNabb completed 21-of-33 pass attempts for 361 yards in that contest, with three touchdown strikes (all in the first half) and no interceptions. Brian Westbrook rushed for 91 yards and a score in the win, while also catching a TD pass. Hank Baskett had 102 receiving yards and a TD.<\/p>\n
Philadelphia had been listed as an 8.5-point home favorite in that contest, and easily covered the spread. The combined score fell UNDER the contest\u2019s posted total of 43.5.<\/p>\n
The Cowboys rode into Cleveland for Week 1 and came away with a 28-10 victory. Dallas QB Tony Romo was good on 24-of-32 pass attempts for 320 yards in that contest, with one touchdown strike and one interception. Marion Barber ran for 80 yards on 16 carries and scored two touchdowns, while Felix Jones had nine rushes for 62 yards and a score. Terrell Owens caught five balls for 87 yards and a TD in the contest.<\/p>\n
Dallas was pegged as a 6-point road favorite against the Browns last weekend, and also managed to cover their spread. The 38 combined points fell UNDER the 48.5 total.<\/p>\n
The NFC East rivals split their season series last year, and the road team actually won both games. The Cowboys came out on top in Philly last November, winning 38-17 as 3-point favorites (with the combined score of the game going OVER the posted total of 46). The Eagles then returned the favor in Dallas in December, squeaking out a 10-6 win as a 10-point road underdog. That game was an UNDER result, with the total at 49.<\/p>\n
For Monday\u2019s game the Cowboys are listed as 7-point home favorites on the BetUS NFL odds, with the total at 46 points. As well, Dallas is listed at -300 on the moneyline.<\/p>\n

Philadelphia Injuries <\/strong> Reggie Brown participated in practice on Saturday, so he\u2019s a game-time decision for Monday night. Kevin Curtis is recovering from hernia surgery and won\u2019t return for weeks.<\/p>\n Dallas Injuries<\/strong> Marion Barber bruised his ribs against the Browns last week and left the game early, but he practiced without restrictions this week and should be good to go on Monday night.
