Stud Of the Week<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\nDrew Brees (358 Yards Passing \u2013 6 TD\u2019s + 1 INT)<\/strong> – Whaaaat?\u00a0 What can you say about that performance?\u00a0 He was hitting EVERYTHING!!!!\u00a0 Absolutely lights out – could easily be the best day that anyone has this year.\u00a0 Drew made everyone on his team look good – the measure of a True Fantasy Stud!!!<\/p>\nDud of the Week<\/span><\/h3>\nJake Delhomme (73 Yards Passing – 4 INT\u2019s – 1 fumble)<\/strong> – Oh my!!!\u00a0 The Carolina Brass really wishes that they had a mulligan in signing Jake to a HUGE contract at the beginning of the season.\u00a0 Absolutely brutal play at home in the season opener.\u00a0 I have a feeling that Jake is going to appear regularly in this column this year!!!<\/p>\nMore Studs<\/span><\/h3>\nTony Romo (353 Yards Passing \u2013 3 TD\u2019s)<\/strong> – Slow start for Tony against the Bucs, but he was truly aided by the big play.\u00a0 All of his TD\u2019s. Came on huge plays.\u00a0 Credit a confident QB for finding the right guy in the right situations.<\/p>\nBen Roethlisberger (363 Yards Passing – 1 TD- 2 INT\u2019s)<\/strong> – Took control of the game on Thursday and made the fantasy world take note that he is going to be huge this year.\u00a0 Without a running game, Ben was able to recognize that he had to shoulder the load.\u00a0 He did in a huge way.<\/p>\nJoe Flacco (307 Yards Passing \u2013 3 TD\u2019s \u2013 1 INT\u2019s) <\/strong>– I knew that Joe was good, but this good?\u00a0 Monster game in which he was able to make Todd Heap and a questionable receiving corps look all-world.\u00a0 Any other questions?????<\/p>\nAdrian Peterson (25 Carries -180 Yards \u2013 3 TD\u2019s)<\/strong> – Not much of a shock here, but to start the year off with a career game for 99% of other RB’s. lands him on this list.\u00a0 It appears that All Day will be able to do what he wants when he wants. AP is a monster and even dehydration can\u2019t slow him down.<\/p>\nThomas Jones (20 Carries – 107 \u2013 2 TD\u2019s)<\/strong> – Really helped Make Sanchez\u2019s debut one to remember.\u00a0 Any back with 2 TD’s. will land on this list.\u00a0 What a luxury for a rookie QB to be able to count on a good running game.<\/p>\nMike Bell (28 Carries \u2013 143 Yards)<\/strong> – No TD. For Mike, but the fact that a backup can come in and put up 143 Yards. Ben Roethlisberger (363 Yards Passing – 1 TD- 2 INT\u2019s)<\/strong> – Took control of the game on Thursday and made the fantasy world take note that he is going to be huge this year.\u00a0 Without a running game, Ben was able to recognize that he had to shoulder the load.\u00a0 He did in a huge way.<\/p>\n Joe Flacco (307 Yards Passing \u2013 3 TD\u2019s \u2013 1 INT\u2019s) <\/strong>– I knew that Joe was good, but this good?\u00a0 Monster game in which he was able to make Todd Heap and a questionable receiving corps look all-world.\u00a0 Any other questions?????<\/p>\n Adrian Peterson (25 Carries -180 Yards \u2013 3 TD\u2019s)<\/strong> – Not much of a shock here, but to start the year off with a career game for 99% of other RB’s. lands him on this list.\u00a0 It appears that All Day will be able to do what he wants when he wants. AP is a monster and even dehydration can\u2019t slow him down.<\/p>\n Thomas Jones (20 Carries – 107 \u2013 2 TD\u2019s)<\/strong> – Really helped Make Sanchez\u2019s debut one to remember.\u00a0 Any back with 2 TD’s. will land on this list.\u00a0 What a luxury for a rookie QB to be able to count on a good running game.<\/p>\n Mike Bell (28 Carries \u2013 143 Yards)<\/strong> – No TD. For Mike, but the fact that a backup can come in and put up 143 Yards. Makes him a true stud.\u00a0 Then again, John Goodman would be a stud as a feature runner in that offense!<\/p>\n Tim Hightower (8 Carries – 15 Yards 12 Receptions \u2013 121 Yards)<\/strong> – Ugly rushing #\u2019s but look at the receptions.\u00a0 In a PPR league, you are loving Tim right now.\u00a0 It isn\u2019t Beanie Wells time yet!!!! Reggie Wayne (10 Receptions \u2013 162 Yards \u2013 1 TD)<\/strong> – With Gonzales leaving early in the game, Manning was able to find this stud early and often.\u00a0 Most consistent WR in the game continues to impress and if Gonzales is out for an extended period, he will be the only game in town.<\/p>\n John Carlson (6 Receptions – 95 Yards \u2013 2 TD\u2019s) <\/strong>– Week 1 was the Week of the Tight End indeed.\u00a0 John proved to be a Huge matchup problem for the Rams.\u00a0 He has the trust of his QB, and an amazing ability to get open.\u00a0 Carlson will be on this list again.<\/p>\n Jeremy Shockey (4 Receptions \u2013 31 Yards \u2013 2 TD\u2019s)<\/strong> – Thanks Drew!!!!!<\/p>\n Tony Gonzalez (5 Receptions – 73 Yards \u2013 1 TD)<\/strong> Think Matty Ryan had fun with his new toy today?\u00a0 Tony makes Atlanta a better team for sure.\u00a0 He is as sure handed as they come and will sell out his body in order to get his!<\/p>\n Willie Parker (13 Carries \u2013 19 Yards 1 Reception \u2013 5 Yards) <\/strong>– All right, we know he has a bad history with the Titans but come on!!\u00a0 Coaches, commentators, scouts and fans were all in awe of the brutality of a one prolific runner.\u00a0 Looks like another Shaun Alexander to me!<\/p>\n Steve Slaton (9 Carries \u2013 17 Yards\u00a0\u00a0 3 Reception s \u2013 35 Yards)<\/strong> – All purpose back that seemed to play without a purpose.\u00a0 Yuk!!!!\u00a0 Ugly, ugly game against a team the Texans should have handled with ease.<\/p>\n Braylon Edwards (1 Reception \u2013 12 Yards)<\/strong> – Another player that has the potential to end up on this list a lot this year.\u00a0 Drops, poor route-running, and a seemingly desire to get home for dinner makes Edwards a true Dud!!<\/p>\n Steve Smith (3 Receptions \u2013 21 Yards)<\/strong> – You would think that 1 of the 3 Qb’s that the Panthers used would be able to get Steve the ball!!! – Nope.\u00a0 This one is on Jake – I hope you\u2019re happy!<\/p>\n Anquan Boldin (2 Receptions \u2013 19 Yards) <\/strong>– Anyone see this one coming?\u00a0 Could be a long year for the Cards.\u00a0 The way I see it is if Kurt can\u2019t get the ball into his playmaker\u2019s hands they won\u2019t win.\u00a0 Another WR Dud that can\u2019t really be blamed on him.\u00a0 Boldin will bounce back, but he was truly one of this week\u2019s biggest disappointments.<\/p>\n Quarterbacks<\/strong><\/p>\n D.
