A win over Georgia gives them an excellent chance to go undefeated until their big game with Texas later in the season; a loss could derail their hopes for a BCS Championship.<\/p>\n<p>The Cowboys are decent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.freesportsbetting.org\/\">sports picks<\/a> to beat Georgia, but I\u2019m not convinced that they\u2019ll cover the spread. Sure, OSU\u2019s offense is strong with the likes of Zach Robinson leading the attack, but Georgia\u2019s defense is no slouch playing in the SEC. There\u2019s plenty on the line right out of the gate for Alabama and Virginia Tech; Alabama in particular could use a win after Utah shocked them in the Sugar Bowl to end last season.<\/p>\n<p>The Crimson Tide should win with defense first this season and that will be their edge on Saturday. Alabama\u2019s third-ranked defense of a year ago returns nine starters, so it\u2019s scary to think how much better the \u201cD\u201d can be, especially in the front seven. The Hokies lost running back Darren Evans to injury but their passing game may surprise this year, as shifty Tyrod Thomas has all his receivers back from last season. Still, the\u00a0Crimson Tide\u00a0are an extremely tough test for a VT offense that will struggle to score this season.<\/p>\n<p>Greg McElroy has to adjust to being a featured pivot quickly but at least he\u2019ll have Julio Jones catching passes.
