2008 Record:\u00a04-12 The Cleveland Browns finished up the 2008 season without an offensive touchdown in the final six games. Then they traded away tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. in the offseason, arguably their most reliable offensive weapon, and did little else to upgrade their attack.<\/p>\n As Eric Mangini takes over the Browns, they have arguably one of the bleakest rosters in the NFL. If Quinn wins the job, it would mean the Browns have a new starting quarterback in the season opener for the seventh time in eight seasons.<\/p>\n Whether it is Quinn or Derek Anderson, the Browns need to find someone to be the face of their franchise to help develop an identity.<\/p>\n The Browns will again rely on Jamal Lewis at running back and the 30-year-old is coming back from offseason ankle surgery. That\u2019s a great sign.<\/p>\n At wide receiver, Braylon Edwards is in a contract year so you can expect a good season out of him but aside from him, there isn\u2019t many explosive weapons. Mohamaed Massaquoi and Brian Robiskie \u2013 two second-round picks in the 2009 draft \u2013 will battle it out for the second starting wideout position. The bad news is that rookie wide receivers take a while to develop and Edwards should get plenty of defensive attention.<\/p>\n On defense, the Browns are very talent thin, although Mangini brought over a lot of former Jets with him to plug some holes. Abram Elam is solid at safety, David Bowens will help the rush from his outside linebacking position and Kenyon Coleman will upgrade the defensive line slightly.<\/p>\n But even so, Shaun Rogers and Corey Williams \u2013 two big acquisitions from last year\u2019s offseason \u2013 still look out of place in the 3-4 but Rogers did improve as the season progressed.<\/p>\n As a whole the defense is further ahead \u2013 and more talented \u2013 than the offense, but let\u2019s just say this roster is bereft of Pro Bowl talent.
