Names like Randall Cobb, BJ Raji and Bryan Baluga could have left the team for greener pastures but didn’t, leaving that home-gown, cohesive team to try and win it all this year.

Believe it or not the fact that Green Bay will field largely the same team in almost every aspect of the game is a big thing ahead of this year – if Aaron Rodgers was healthy at the end of last season, the Packers may be defending a championship this year – not chasing it.

[dfads params=’groups=66501&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

Any time that you can throw out Aaron Rodgers, you have a chance to be one of the best teams in the NFL – period. It is widely known that the NFL is a quarterback driven league – Rodgers is the best pivot in the game. Randall Cobb, Devante Adams and Jordy Nelson provide Rodgers one of the most impressive pass catching units in the game and Eddie Lacy, if not already, is prime to become the newest superstar in the league.

Simply put, with one of the best offensive lines in the game, the Packers will score some points this year. There is little doubt about the fact that Green Bay is absolutely elite on the offensive side of the ball – zero weaknesses heading into the season.

The X-factor ahead of the season will be the Green Bay defense that will, like the offense, return a lot of the same cast of characters. Clay Matthews, Julius Peppers and a hopefully healthy BJ Raji make the defense formidable. Morgan Burnett and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix are dangerous in the secondary.

[dfads params=’groups=63752&limit=1&return_javascript=0′]

The Green Bay Packers defense will have to be just average this year for their team to succeed and that’s where most see them ending up. Their task will be to hold their team in games, not win them all by themselves. Green Bay has the pieces in place to do just that – good not great will likely be enough.

Packers 2015 Prediction:

This season depends on the health of Aaron Rodgers – period! The Pack just aren’t the same without their pivot fully healthy and using his feet and his mind to terrorize. The team went 9-0 at home last year and is 40-6 in the last six years at Lambeau – no reason to think a drop-off is imminent. The Packers were close last year – my bet is that they get it done this year.

Expect them to finish 13-3 and gain home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Green Bay is untouchable at home! I like the Pack to run and hide in the NFC North, to win the NFC and to win it all this year!

The 2015 NFL futures betting season is right around the corner!
