2009 NCAA Tournament <\/strong>National Championship Game<\/strong><\/a> These two teams met earlier in the year at Ford Field.\u00a0 North Carolina dominated the game and won 98-63.\u00a0 Michigan State did not have the services on Goran Suton.\u00a0 Michigan State is not even close to the same team now as they were in December.\u00a0 In the earlier matchup the lone bright spot for MSU was Raymar Morgon which had 21 points on 8-14 shooting.MSU shot 34.8% from the field including 23.5% from 3.\u00a0 They also committed 21 turnovers.\u00a0 Without Suton in the game, Tyler Hansbrough dominated inside to lead the Tar Heels to the easy victory.<\/p>\n Michigan State has won ATS in all 5 tournament games this year.\u00a0 They have beaten two #1 seeds out of the Big East Conference on the way.\u00a0 However, they are just 1-4 ATS in the last 5 against ACC opponents.\u00a0 The Spartans will not have the depth advantage over UNC as they have had over their opponents in this year’s tournament.\u00a0 MSU has been winning with great defense and spectacular guard play.\u00a0 UNC has the best guards Michigan State has faced though in Lawson and Ellington.<\/a><\/p>\n North Carolina has also won all 5 games ATS in this year’s tournament.\u00a0 The under has been 4-1 in the same 5 games.\u00a0 They have been completely dominating opponents with the closest game being 12 points.\u00a0 In the last 2 games, which were against #3 seeds, the Tar Heels have built huge leads and cruised in the 2nd<\/sup> half to make the outcome a little closer than it could have been.\u00a0 In the National Championship game I do not look for that to happen as there is nothing to rest for as there was in previous rounds.\u00a0 Roy Williams will want to get bench players in the game for the experience but will not want to take the feeling away from his upper classmen that came back for this very game.\u00a0<\/p>\n North Carolina is on a mission and will not be stopped.\u00a0 Many Tar Heel players came back this year for this opportunity.\u00a0 Michigan State will have the crowd on their side but it won’t matter.\u00a0 UNC has been the class of college basketball this year.\u00a0 After cutting down the nets Roy Williams will have his work cut out for him next year.\u00a0 All 5 starters are either graduating or expect to turn pro.\u00a0 This game will be UNC’s last shot for a title in a while.<\/p>\n Last game for Michigan State (31-6): Win 82-73 vs. Connecticut North Carolina -7.5 12\/3\/08 UNC 98 MSU 63
