Growing up in Philadelphia I saw many great games in the Spectrum in South Philly. Keep in mind that I am not your typical Philadelphia fan in fact I’m hated in these parts because I root for all of sports teams in Boston. From a sports point of view May 19, 1974 was the worst sports day of my life.
Before the season you would have been hard pressed to find anyone who would have picked Arizona to even make it to the Super Bowl. But the Cardinals love being the underdog and are 3-0 as underdogs this postseason against the spread and Money Line. This past week we looked at the Pittsburgh Steelers and broke down both there offense and defense today we will do the same for the Arizona Cardinals.
The Super Bowl favorite is the Pittsburgh Steelers which have been made a -7 point favorite by the odds makers. Pittsburgh has been playing so good lately and coming off a very good win against Baltimore Ravens. This playoffs they are 2-0 against the spread! Wow going into the championship game weekend the super bowls odds are a little surprising to me. Right now Pittsburgh is the favorite at 3/2, second is Philly at 7/4, third is Baltimore at 7/2, and last is Arizona at 5-1. Really think that this should be flipped between 1st and 2nd because the Eagles beat up the Steelers earlier this year handing them there worst loss of the season.
Hopefully this past weekend all of you followed the divisional match up trends which showed the underdogs the last five years covered 80 percent of the time. Well this year its only 75 percent with the underdogs winning straight up in all three of those games. Now lets look at the recent trends for both of these games to help clue us in on which trend plays we should be looking at this weekend.
