While most sports wagering people may not notice this right off the hop, but if the TCU Horned Frogs blow out the Boise State Broncos and the Texas Longhorns barely squeak by the Alabama Crimson Tide, there is still a chance that the Horned Frogs could be voted as AP National Champions. That will be an underlying storyline as the game approaches.
They’re circling the wagons on Foxboro, where the Holy Trinity of Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and Bob Kraft is defending Randy Moss in an obvious desperate attempt to keep the wide receiver from completely checking out in the final three games of the season.
Much has been made of the Cincinnati Bengals’ conversion from a team dominated by hoodlums to a group that stays home on Friday and Saturday nights, which greatly enhances the team’s chances of winning on Sunday afternoons. But a more subtle metamorphosis has taken place, and it will be evident Sunday when Cincy travels to San Diego in an important Week 15 game.
All those months of work on college football betting are about to pay off. Bowl season starts this weekend, and although the first few games are small in stature, the matchups themselves should be entertaining and the lines have some wiggle room.
Big chalk is back with a vengeance. After the favorites went 12-4 SU and 10-6 ATS last week, the NFL odds we have posted so far for Week 15 include just three games with a spread under seven points. That will likely change as the board fills up.
Did you get your holiday shopping taken care of? Good thing, because it’s already time to get back into the war room. College football betting is once again front and center, as the first bowl games of the postseason kick off this Saturday.

For almost every one of the 34 bowl games, we’ve been given at least two weeks to prepare. In that sense, we might as well dig up as much as we can in search of that one golden nugget for each. In this piece, we’ll take a look at some general bowl game trends recent years, then dive into some more team specific trends for the ’09-10 bowl games. One of college football’s best running offenses will go against the best passing offense in what promises to be a highly entertaining Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl on New Year’s Eve.

Kick-off: 8:00 pm EST
The Central Florida Golden Knights take on Rutgers in what amounts to a home game in the St. Petersburg Bowl.
The game, at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, isn’t that far away from the campus of Central Florida in Orlando. That makes the trip to their bowl game quite easy. That’s not the case for Rutgers who have to travel all the way from New Jersey to take on the Golden Knights.

BetUS NFL football betting odds: INDIANAPOLIS -3, Total 42.5
The Colts are listed as a three-point favorite, with a posted total of 42.5 points.

Loyalty can be one of a gambler’s worst enemies. That’s why bettors should never – or at least rarely – wager on their favorite teams. They lose objectivity and are sometime blinded by their feelings about their teams.
With 14 weeks of games in the books a few pieces of the post season puzzle are in place and a few more will probably be in place after this week. Indianapolis, New Orleans, and Minnesota are in. San Diego, Cincinnati, Arizona, Philadelphia, and Green Bay can punch their ticket with a win and some help.
