It’s been a three-day stretch like no other in the NFL, with big trades and (unofficial) signings galore as the lockout fades into rear-view mirror. So much is happening that it’s tough to keep track of it.
Last season’s slide to a 6-10 finish not only ended quarterback Vince Young’s days in Tennessee, it cost longtime Head Coach Jeff Fisher his job after compiling a 146-120 record since taking the team over with six games left to play in the 1994 season.
Jacksonville Head Coach Jack Del Rio was able to salvage an 8-8 record last season that in turn salvaged his job for at least one more season.
Brett Favre lingered on the sideline against the Detroit Lions during what was likely the last game of his 20-season career, often looking like he’d rather be kicking back on a lawn chair at his home in Mississippi.
The surprise team of the 2010 NFL season was the Kansas City Chiefs, but right behind one of Missouri’s football teams stood the other one, the St. Louis Rams.
For the first time in his long but short career with the Green Bay Packers, quarterback Aaron Rodgers was able to step out of his own shadow. A Super Bowl victory has a way of doing that for a gifted gunslinger who no longer has to look over his shoulder at a famous predecessor.

The Houston Texans slipped to third in the AFC South last season with a record of 6-10, which has to be considered a major disappointment after ending up with the first winning season in franchise history in 2009 with a record of 9-7.
The Indianapolis Colts won their second straight AFC South title in 2010, their seventh in the last eight seasons, but were hardly the dominant team of the past with a 10-6 record overall.
The Jets made it to the AFC Championship game for the 2nd straight season last season and it will be a tall task for them to do it again.
The Patriots not only have the best odds to win the AFC East, but the AFC and the Super Bowl as well. Tom Brady is the reigning MVP and the Pats’ offense should be solid once again, but the big question mark in New England is on defense, especially in the secondary.
Is Chad Henne the answer for the Dolphins at QB? He had an up and down season last year and there have been rumblings that the fish may go out and get a QB when free agency begins and Vince Young is a player being mentioned.
Many thought the Bills would use their high draft pick to take a QB, but they passed on doing that and heading into this season Buffalo will hang their hopes on Ryan Fitzpatrick (3,000 yards 23 TD last season).
