It gets started Thursday with a nationally televised tilt between the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons at the Georgia Dome (8 pm ET, FOX).
NFL Odds at betED.com have the Falcons as a 1.5-point favorite and the over/under total at 37. 
New England is 3-2 straight up and against the point spread over the past five meetings with the Falcons, the last of which was Sept. 27 last season when the Patriots beat the Falcons 26-10, cashing as a 4.5-point favorite.
Both teams won their preseason openers, New England beating the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints 27-24 last Thursday, and Atlanta doubling the Kansas City Chiefs 20-10 on Friday.
Another nationally televised game has the Philadelphia Eagles and Cincinnati Bengals battling at Paul Brown Stadium on Friday (8 pm ET, FOX).
The Bengals are a 3-point favorite and the over/under is 35.5 in NFL Betting.
Philadelphia is 2-1-1 SU but 0-4 in the past four meetings. The teams last met Nov. 16, 2008, when the teams played to a rare 13-13 tie.
The Eagles edged the Jacksonville Jaguars 28-27 in the exhibition opener for both clubs on Friday. The Bengals beat the Denver broncos 33-24 on Sunday.
On Saturday, the Dallas Cowboys and San Diego Chargers clash at Qualcomm Stadium, with the Chargers 2.5-point favorites and the total at 36.5 in NFL Lines.
